Hockey draft

Anyone interested in a hockey pool for the playoffs? I know this site you put your teams up on and the site updates the stats after every game. Costs zip and I'm sure we could link it.

I figure $25 per player and depending on how many people say 10-12 players per person. We could do a winner takes all or give out 1st, and 2nd prises, whatever. This would be a good way to introduce our American brothers/sisters to the greatest game on earth. We could pick a time to log on, draft a player and get it over with in about an hrs. [Playoffs always begin on a Wednesday so usually you draft on Mon. or Tues night] it's less than 3 weeks away...what ya say?

Now for you folks who don't know much about hockey or hockey pools don't worry. Back in '94 my wife played with my buddies and I and she knew zip about Hockey. She picked players she though had nice names, she took Messier cause she though he played with Tiger Williams [her favorite player ] she took Bure, Linden and Ronning [Vancouver was supposed to be knocked out in 5] she picked from all the underdog teams and we were all laughing so hard she almost quit. She beat us by more than 40 points and has never let me live it down. Anything can happen in the playoffs and knowledge is not power when it comes to the Stanley Cup.

So, anyone in?

I don't think this site has a gaming license and someone could get a visit from the RCMP if we ran an unlicensed gaming operation.

Your joking right? [look up]

You guys are getting too serious, lighten up. First of all in order to get a cop out of Tim Hortons you have to be running a pretty big opperation. Hockey drafts can't get that big because of the number of players available [222] unless the entry fee is several figures. $20-25 bucks doesn't cut it[that's about $5 U.S.]. At best I'm looking for 12 people at 10-12 players per. That's the most you can run without going to a pick a player random sheet and they suck. Anyhow, it's just an idea. If your interested in bragging rights for the summer let me know.
