CAW issues legal warning to union reformer

"Despite our earlier correspondence I am informed that you have maintained your website which appropriates the name of CAW Local 1285, and further, there remains libellous material on the website.

If this website is not removed and the offending material not struck down forthwith, then I am instructed to commence legal action without further notice to you".

I guess that caw.com http://www.caw.com and caw.net http://www.caw.net are OK.

Well, the CAW has just joined the oppressive unionists' hall of shame.

I wonder if they plan to argue that they own Local 1285? That would be interesting because they'd be implying that they also own the members of Local 1285. I'm just waiting for a one of these oppressive outfits to make that argument.

I'm not sure what it is about this reformer's web site that so angers the CAW leaders. Maybe it's this bit:

quote:

…MY FIRST POLICY STATEMENT…

…ONE MEMBER ONE VOTE FOR PRESIDENT OF THE CAW...

Yeah, that would be enough to get them going.

Keep us posted about this as things develop.
